Dublin, 1980. 14-year-old Conor is looking for a break from a home strained by his parents' relationship and money troubles and a school where kids are rough and teachers, rougher. He soon fins a glimmer of hope in the mysterious orphan and would-be model Raphina. Willing to win her heart, he invites her in his band's music videos. There's only one little problem: he's not part of a band...yet.
