WHY TUESDAY? WHY DO AMERICANS VOTE ON TUESDAYS?

Election Day  in the United States is the day set by law for the general elections. It occurs the Tuesday immediately after the first Monday in November. Election Day is a civic holiday in some states such as Hawaii, Kentucky, Montana, Ohio or New York. Some other states require that workers be allowed to take time off from employment without loss of pay.
The  2016 United States elections will be held on Tuesday, November 8. Businessman and reality television personality Donald Trump of New York is the Republican Party's presidential nominee, while Hillary Clinton is the Democratic Party's presidential nominee. The question is: who will be the next President of the USA?
