-ED/-ING ADJECTIVES

Imagine the following situations:
  1. You have been studying all night for an important exam. Do you feel exhausted/motivated to pass/tired ?
  2. You bungee jumped for the first time yesterday. You felt excited/frightened/amused.
  3. You didn't win a competition you took part in. Did you feel disappointed/demotivated/surprised?  
-ed adjectives help us talk about how we feel in each situation.

Let's focus now on the situations.  What was each situation like?
  1. Studying all night for an important exam is exhausting/motivating to pass/tiring
  2. Bungee jumping for the first time is exciting/frightening/amusing.
  3. Not winning a competition is disappointing/demotivating/surprising. 
-ing adjectives help us talk about situations, things or people that make us feel a certain way.
